Mark your calendar for a memorable weekend: María Olivera is coming to Gainesville soon. She taught at various communities in Florida before (Miami, Tampa, Orlando); however, this is the first time she visits Gainesville.
Not only do we learn from María Olivera tango movements, executed through its exquisite musical form, we also have a chance to learn from a teacher with a deep, thorough understanding the philosophy of the dance (you are invited to listen to her interviews from her website). This understanding touches the core of the fundamental question: why we love and dance the tango.
Now let us prepare to work on the how with María Olivera.
We look forward to sharing with you an awesome weekend with fun workshops and an elegant milonga on Saturday evening. Put on your best outfits. Please spread the words to your tango friends. Everybody is warmly welcome.
